What ingredients are in Haven’s First Elderberry Syrup?
Our elderberry syrup is handcrafted in small batches using simple, whole ingredients:
- Elderberries
- Cinnamon
- Moringa Leaf
- Echinacea
- Oranges
- Calendula Flowers
- Cloves
- Ohio Maple Syrup or Raw Honey (depending on the variety)
We never use artificial flavors, dyes, or preservatives.

Adults: 1 tablespoon daily

Can children take elderberry syrup?
Haven’s First offers two versions of our elderberry syrup:
Honey Elderberry Syrup
This version contains raw honey and should not be given to children under 1 year old, in accordance with pediatric guidelines regarding honey.
Maple Elderberry Syrup
Our maple syrup version contains no honey and is often preferred by families with babies under 1 year old.
As with any food or supplement, if you have questions about introducing elderberry to your child, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider.
Is elderberry syrup safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications, please consult your healthcare provider before using elderberry syrup.
How long does elderberry syrup last?
Because our syrup contains no preservatives, we recommend usage within 2-3 months after opening.
Always keep refrigerated and use clean utensils when serving.
Why does elderberry syrup need refrigeration?
Because our elderberry syrup is made with real ingredients and no preservatives, it should always be stored in the refrigerator after opening to maintain freshness.
